State Police have released the identity of the woman struck and killed Monday night on Route 6 just west of Exit 8.
Jacqueline Christie, 45, of Dennisport pulled off the highway because of a flat tire. As she exited her SUV she was struck by a passing pickup truck. Yarmouth Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police have not released the name of the 25-year old Dennis man driving the pickup. He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment following the accident, which remains under investigation.
