Gas prices in Massachusetts continue a downward trend.
Triple-A Northeast says its weekly survey found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.15 per gallon. That is two cents lower than the in-state price a week ago and sixteen cents below the national average of $2.31.
Triple-A found a range in price for unleaded regular of 38 cents, from a low of $2.01 to a high of $2.39.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve, unleaded regular in Massachusetts a year ago was $1.70.
