The next Upper Cape Household Hazardous Waste Collection, sponsored by Barnstable County, will be held on Saturday, August 17th between 9am and 1pm at Mashpee High School, 500 Old Barnstable Road.
At the same time, Mashpee Environmental Coalition and Mashpee DPW are partnering on a combined Textile Recycling Drive and Secure Shredding Event. As it is now illegal in Massachusetts to throw any clothes or textile items into the trash, this will be a convenient way to keep hazardous waste products out of our waters and textiles out of our trash, while safely disposing of confidential documents.
This event is free for all Upper Cape residents, while Non-Upper Cape residents will be charged a fee for hazardous waste items.
