Edgartown officials have been working to reopen sections of Atlantic Drive.

Portions of the road were damaged by a succession of three winter storms, plus a sinkhole and a culvert failure.

This prompted a state of emergency, which was followed by investigations by both the state and Federal Emergency Management Agencies.

Sand dredging to restore beach areas has been underway, and officials are confident that all work will be finished by April 15th.
