CCC Plans For Storm Surges And Flooded Out Roads

The Cape Cod Commission is working with towns to combat ongoing flooding due to storm surges and climate change.

Colleen Medeiros is the commission's transportation program manager-she says nearly the entire region is at sea level or low-lying, and fresh solutions are required to help communities bounce back from storms.

Nearly 60 roadways have been identified as susceptible to street flooding.

Medeiros says towns need to take a more proactive approach and begin budgeting and planning for the future.
