Barnstable Delegates To Vote On PFAS Cleanup

Barnstable County's Assembly of Delegates is expected to vote tomorrow on a series of ordinances.

Last week, county commissioners agreed to organize a 7-point-2-million-dollar special revenue fund for PFAS cleanup at the former fire training site.

In addition, a 15-million-dollar measure for capital improvements, plus funding for the OPEB Trust Fund at 500-thousand dollars per year over the next decade.

The measures are designed to safeguard the county's financial stability, following a comprehensive planning process.
