Barnstable Backing Away From Dog Restrictions

Barnstable leaders are backing away from a proposal to shorten off-season beach time for dogs.

It was presented back in the fall, calling for the seasonal ban on dog walking on local beaches to be extended to April 1st from May 15th.

That would have slashed a month-and-a-half of beach time from our canine friends and their parents.

Sometime after sifting through the results of the proposal's public comment period, town leaders chose to table the idea.
