Cape Missed Most Of Snow- But Here Comes Rain And Wind

The Cape received little snow from the recent passage of the first winter storm of the season.

Sandwich received the most of Cape Cod communities, with 1-point-5 inches.

Mashpee, Truro, and Yarmouth each recorded an inch; a half-inch fell in Eastham, and point-three inches cane down in East Orleans.

Inland, however, the storm brought nearly 19 inches to Lunenburg, just over 18 in Tyngsboro, while Lowell received 16-point-6 inches and Worcester Regional Airport topped out at 15-point-5.

Closer to the Cape, Fall River saw 4-point-3 inches, while New Bedford had three.

Meantime, we are tracking the next phase of a double-barreled storm. This one will bring rains and wind. In fact a Wind Warning has been posted by the National Weather Service from this afternoon at 5PM through tomorrow afternoon.

Southwest Winds could reach as high as 65 miles per hour.
