Venezuelan National Arrested At Joint Base Cape Cod

Federal officials have arrested a Venezuelan national who was living in an emergency shelter at Joint Base Cape Cod.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say the 38-year-old man admitted that he was convicted of homicide in his home country.

The unnamed individual was arrested in Eagle Pass, Texas on July 31st for illegally entering the US.

He did not disclose the homicide conviction to US Border Patrol agents and failed to appear at ICE offices within 60 days. He is in custody, awaiting return to Venezuela.
