Lyme Disease Vaccine Trial Ending

The FDA is concluding an investigation into a discontinued Lyme disease vaccine trial on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Back in February, Pfizer stopped its study on the Islands because of alleged violations in clinical practice standards by Care Access.

The company has stated in a press release that the FDA did not find any misconduct on its part.

The vaccine trial is currently in its third and final phase.

The Islands were chosen for involvement in the study because of the high prevalence of the disease which is transmitted through ticks.
