Chatham Man Pleads Guilty To Inside Trading

A 60-year-old Chatham man has pleaded guilty to an insider trading scheme.

The US Attorney says Gregory Manning purchased three thousand shares of stock in a California semiconductor company and its planned takeover of a Massachusetts company.

The US Attorney says that the stock was bought based on information that the general public did not have.

Manning was charged along with two other men in January of 2020.

Manning could get 25 years in prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine when he is sentenced in January of next year.
