New CEO Tapped For Outer Cape Health

A new CEO is being announced at Outer Cape Health Services.

The position will be filled by Dr. Damian Archer, the chief health equity officer for the agency and a longtime community health worker.

Archer is replacing the retiring Outer Cape Health Services CEO, Patricia Nadle, in December.

“In selecting Dr. Archer as our next CEO, we knew that a physician would bring a unique perspective to leadership, grounded in an understanding of patient care and the intricacies of the healthcare industry,” said Larry Ballantine, OCHS Board Chair. “Research shows that physician-led healthcare organizations often exhibit better clinical outcomes, improve patient satisfaction, and high quality of care. We also knew that promoting Dr. Damian Archer to CEO will help our organization to advance health equity by setting a tone throughout our communities that strengthens our deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and belonging.”

The nonprofit was founded in 1987, and provides coverage for over 20-thousand patients annually.
