Judge Tosses Challenge To Chatham Town Meeting

A legal challenge to a special town meeting in Chatham is being denied.

The Cape Cod Chronicle reports a Barnstable Superior Court judge ruled there were insufficient grounds in the lawsuit from former selectman Seth Taylor asking for a five-year moratorium on attempts to authorize a new senior center at 1610 Main Street.

The September 18th town meeting will be the third time in the past two years the Chatham Select Board has asked voters to consider the new facility.
