State Leaders Disappointed But Not Surprised By High Court Ruling

Many elected officials in Massachusetts are condemning today's U.S. Supreme Court ruling that strikes down affirmative action at colleges and universities.

Governor Maura Healey called it disappointing.

Senator Elizabeth Warren said an extremist court has reversed decades of established law.

Congresswoman Lori Trahan said the ruling turns back the clock on progress made to ensure equitable access to higher education.

Harvard Officials meantime say they will abide by the High Court ruling and will work to continue to create a diverse community.
