Investigation Begins In Submersible Implosion

The United States Coast Guard is launching a formal investigation into the deadly implosion of the Titan submersible.

The investigation was announced during a news conference Sunday in Boston.

Captain Jason Neubauer is leading the probe, which he said is currently in the evidence-collection phase.

It was confirmed last Thursday that crews found debris from the vessel that was used to explore the Titanic site in the Northern Atlantic Ocean.

Among the five people who were killed was Stockton Rush, the founder of the sub's owner, OceanGate Expeditions.
