All Smiles At Fenway In Sweep Of Yankees

The Red Sox took both ends of their doubleheader against the Yankees to sweep the three-game series at Fenway Park.

Boston took the first game of the day with a 6-2 victory.

Nick Pivetta earned the win after striking out four batters over three scoreless innings.

Michael King was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs over an inning and a third of relief.

The Sox completed the sweep after taking down the Yanks 4-1 in the second game of the twin bill.

Brayan Bello was credited with the win after striking out eight batters and allowing one run over seven innings. Kenley Jansen secured his 15th save of the season after striking out a pair over a scoreless ninth inning.

Luis Severino suffered the loss after allowing four runs, three of them earned, over five innings pitched.

New York is now third in the AL East at 39-and-33. Boston is last in the division at 37-and-35.
