Outdoor Water Restrictions In Place For Several Cape Towns

Tough outdoor water restrictions are now being implemented in Dennis, Brewster, and Harwich.

Groundwater levels in the Monomoy lens aquifer are below average this year, which could be cause for concern.

Water District Superintendent David Larkowski said the restrictions are to conserve water.

Residents who live in odd-numbered houses are being asked to only run outdoor watering systems on odd-numbered days and vice versa with those in even-numbered houses.

In Dennis and Harwich, non-essential outdoor water usage will be allowed from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
