One person is dead after a shooting during a home invasion in Falmouth Tuesday morning.
Falmouth Police say they now have a suspect, identified as Tyler James Gibbs in custody on a murder charge.
The situation began at about 11:00-am as Gibbs began an armed standoff with police at a home on Old Main Road.
He surrendered early Tuesday afternoon. Police then found a woman dead inside the home upon entry. She’s been identified as Keyanna Barrows.
North Falmouth Elementary School was also placed on lockdown as a precaution.
Falmouth Police continue to investigate. No other injuries were reported.
