Barnstable County Commissioners Remain Silent On Mandate

The Barnstable County Commissioners are remaining mum about their motivation behind the imposition of a Covid vaccine mandate for county employees.

The 238 employees have been told they must prove they are vaccinated against Covid or submit to weekly testing, they have until the end of the month to comply.

Noncompliance will result in an unpaid suspension and then firing.

It is unclear what, if any, impact suspended or fired employees would have on county services.
