State Reverses Flu Shot Mandate For Students

The state is reversing a controversial mandate that all Massachusetts students receive the flu vaccine.

The Department of Public Health has eliminated the requirement, which was imposed by Governor Charlie Baker last year.

Preliminary data is showing a mild flu season this year, largely because many people have been vaccinated and mask requirements.

The order had required everyone from pre-K through college and graduate schools to receive the flu vaccine.
