Medical Facility For Covid-19 Patients Constructed At Joint Base Cape Cod

It took six days for the National Guard to construct a 94 bed medical facility at Joint Base Cape Cod.

It was done under the guidance of Cape Cod Medical Center where President and CEO Michael Lauf says he hopes it is needed to handle a rush of Covid-19 cases.

He says that he doesn't know how long it will be needed but the beds are needed in a worst case scenario if needed.

Governor Baker toured the facility.

Later he met with reporters where he said that opening the state is not next on his agenda.

The Governor continues to say though it will be a rough couple of weeks ahead of us.
