Federal Appeals Court Will Hear From Wampanoag Tribe On Casino Land

The First Circuit Court of Appeals will hear from the Wampanoag Indian Tribe on their appeal of a decision by the Fed not to authorize a land taking for a casino in Taunton.

Several Taunton residents are trying to block the casino. The Appeals Court never rules from the bench.

It is likely to take between three and six months for the decision to be handed down.
