In East Harwich --- they put the new fire house in operation.
The new fire station is at 1464 Orleans Road across from the Stop and Shop. The previous structure was 44 years old.
Officials say the new facility is still being worked on but will be done under budget.
Officials say there is enough play in the design that will allow the town to get more than 50 years out of the new facility.
