A new initiative to recycle the shells of shellfish is being pushed in Sandwich.
The town says the donated shells it is seeking could help with future shellfish populations by creating a sort of reef for oyster seedlings.
Several other Cape Cod towns - Barnstable, Wellfleet, Brewster, plus both Islands - also have done this.
