Attorney General Seeks Emergency Stay In Transfer Of Plymouth Nuclear Plant

The State Attorney General is seeking an emergency stay of the license transfer for the Plymouth Nuclear Power Station from Entergy to Holtec International.

The A-G’s appeal questions the financial ability of Holtec to decommission the power station as well as general environmental concerns.

She contends that the fed can’t possibly remove spent fuel rods by 2063 as assumed in the analysis, since there is no place to move the fuel to.

No comment from the company yet.
