State Extends D-Y School Reimbursement Deadline

The state is granting another extension to the Dennis-Yarmouth school district to get state funding for a new middle school.

The district now has until July 30th to request the reimbursement of over 44-million dollars.

Holding up the request is the fact that D-Y cannot have any pending litigation. Yarmouth sued over the way the school was approved.

That suit was dismissed on June 12th, and the town has until mid-July to file an appeal. This is the second extension that has been granted.
