State Lawmakers Hold Closed Doors Meeting About Sharks

The media was barred from what they said was an informational meeting on sharks on Beacon Hill. Lawmakers publicized the event then closed the meeting to the reporters.

State Rep Dylan Fernandes said it was intended for staff and lawmakers to learn about the issue and they wanted to keep it that way.

Lawmakers hit on familiar themes that the population of sharks grew because their food source in grey seals has increased as well. Lawmakers say more research is needed.
