Spending Items Voted On In Harwich, Orleans, Eastham

Yesterday's town elections in Harwich, Orleans and Eastham featured noteworthy spending questions. In Harwich, voters rejected paying four-and-a-half-million dollars for reconstructing part of Lower County Road, as they had done at town meeting. Orleans approved a 47-million-dollar wastewater plan, which will include constructing a downtown sewer system. In Eastham, voters approved spending about one-and-a-half-million to buy a former golf driving range for general municipal purposes.
