Wareham PD/Thief Arrested

A Wareham Resident contacted the police department earlier this month to say she had not received new checks she had ordered even though the bank said the checks had been shipped and two of them had been cashed.
More of the stolen checks showed up, having been cashed or deposited into the account a West Wareham resident.
On February 13th, a wallet was found at a local T.J. Maxx store and inside were checks from various banks and multiple credit cards with different names on them. Some of the checks were determined to be from the original victim.
On Friday, February 15th, Wareham Detectives located the suspect in the area of 191 Main Street and arrested 23 year old Lauren Narhumenti of West Wareham.
She was charged with larceny over 12-hundred dollars by single scheme, receiving stolen property under 12-hundred dollars, 4 counts of uttering a false check and receiving a stolen credit card.
Narhumentiwas arraigned in Wareham District Court.
