There was motor vehicle fatality overnight in Wareham.
Around 3 a.m., State Police Troop D received calls reporting a car on fire. Responding Troopers found the vehicle on Route 25 eastbound at mile marker 2.4, just before Exit 2 in Wareham. The vehicle was in the median against a tree, fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters at the scene extinguished the fire and a victim was then located, deceased, within the charred vehicle.
The investigation by the Mass State Police is ongoing and being conducted by Troop D with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
