Whelan, Crocker Win Re-Election

William Crocker has won re-election as state representative for the 2nd Barnstable District.

The Centerville Republican making the announcement after receiving a phone call from his opponent, Democrat Paul Cusack of Osterville, who conceded the race. The 2nd Barnstable District covers ten precincts in Barnstable and two in Yarmouth.

1st Barnstable District state representative Tim Whelan also won re-election. The Brewster Republican was challenged by another Brewster resident, Democrat Steven Liebowitz. With all but one precinct reporting, Whelan had secured re-election. The former Massachusetts State Trooper congratulated his opponent, saying it isn’t easy tossing your hat into the political ring.
