Paw Palooza Comes to Cape Cod This Weekend

Dogs will fly this weekend on Cape Cod.

It’s the annual Paw Palooza at the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School where canine’s take center stage. The most popular event is the Dock Dogs competition with dogs leaping as far as they can into a 40-foot pool.

There will also be a series of demonstrations by the K9 units of the Yarmouth Police Department and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office.

The event is a collaboration between the MSPCA, the Animal Rescue League, and Agway of Cape Cod.

Since the inaugural Paw Palooza in 2016, more than $50,000 has been raised for the MSPCA and the Animal Rescue League.

This year, organizers will pay tribute to slain Yarmouth K9 Sgt. Sean Gannon with fundraising mini-concerts from a cappella groups Hyannis Sound and Cape Harmony. All the money raised will be donated to the Sean Gannon Memorial Foundations.

Admission both Saturday and Sunday is $7 at the gate. There is no charge for dogs or children under the age of 12.
