A head-on crash Tuesday in Barnstable left a Fall River woman with serious injuries.
Barnstable Police say they responded to the crash on Route 132 near the entrance to the YMCA and discovered a 2010 Toyota sedan and a pickup truck were involved in that crash.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 62-year old Buzzards Bay man, driving the pickup, tried to avoid a rear-end collision by swerving into the oncoming lane, crashing head-on with the sedan.
The injured 38-year old Fall River woman was taken by Medflight helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Names and conditions were not released.
