The Mercy Otis Warren Woman of the Year is Dolores Daluz.
The longtime civil rights activist from Hyannis was selected for her chronicling of African American and Cape Verdean life and history on Cape Cod.
The 82-year old is also a founding member of the Zion Union Heritage Museum, founding member and past officer of the Cape Cod NAACP, the organizer of the annual Sepia Fashion show, and a board member of the Hyannis Library.
Daluz will be presented the award on June 5th.
